Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the common questions we get about renting a holiday villa with Grandes Villas de France. If you didn’t find here an answer to your question, please feel free to contact us.

Booking and Payment

On book.grandesvillasdefrance.com you can browse through our range of holiday villas. Once you have found your ideal holiday villa, you can book it in a few simple clicks:

  • Select your holiday period and the number of people who will be staying in the villa on the right.
  • You will get an overview of the potential reservation period and price (you can also enter a discount code here if you have one).
  • Fill in your contact details and mention any requests for your stay.
  • Click on request to book.

Our employees will contact you asap to confirm your reservation and arrange the payment further.

We accept payments via bank transfer and most credit cards. After your reservation is confirmed, one of our associates will reach out with payment instructions. Your reservation is only final when you have paid for it via a bank transfer or credit card.

There are no “hidden” fees. Just like with every hotel/accommodation booking, you still have to take into account extra costs for the tourist tax and the cleaning. These are transparently communicated at the time of payment.

Prior to check-in, as part of our standard procedure, we hold a security deposit via credit card. The amount is calculated based on the maximum number of guests that the property can accommodate. Specifically, a sum of 75 euros is held in reserve for each potential guest that may stay at the property.

The rationale behind collecting a security deposit is twofold, serving two essential purposes:

Firstly, we aim to provide a safeguard for our property owners against any unforeseen damages that might be inflicted by guests during their stay. In essence, these security deposits function as a kind of “emergency fund,” enabling us to address and rectify any potential damages to the property in a swift and efficient manner. This ensures that any issues can be resolved promptly, preventing them from impacting the experience of subsequent guests.

Secondly, by maintaining this policy, we are able to guarantee that every guest is greeted with a holiday home that is in mint condition upon their arrival. We believe that this contributes to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment, allowing guests to fully enjoy their holiday as they should. After all, our guests pay for and deserve a high-quality holiday experience, and our mission is to deliver exactly that.

Cancellation Policies

You can cancel the booking by sending us a letter within 14 calendar days after the agreement was made, without giving a reason or facing a penalty.

This doesn’t apply if payment was made in advance, or if the agreement was made less than 15 calendar days before the rental period. Any other cancellation isn’t allowed. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. After a cancellation, we can immediately rent the villa to someone else.

If we must cancel the booking due to unexpected events (natural disaster, strike, death, overbooking, etc.), we will try to find similar accommodation for you, the tenant. If this isn’t possible or wanted, the paid price and deposit will be refunded, without any compensation.

Contact and Assistance

Once your reservation is confirmed and paid for, you will receive a confirmation email from the accommodation itself. In that email, you will find the contact details of the person directly responsible for your holiday villa. This is the person to whom you can address all urgent questions and requests.

In the exceptional case when you cannot reach anyone, you can always contact us at contact@grandesvillasdefrance.com.
